This is your chance to join a winning team. Motor Coach Industries (MCI), an industry leader in Charter and Luxury Touring Coaches, is seeking a Customer Service Engineer- Connected Vehicle Technologies Lead to join our team.

The Customer Service Engineer- Connected Vehicle Technologies Lead will be responsible for focusing on maintaining customer satisfaction and improving partner relationships by resolving field technical issues. As lead on Connected Vehicle Technologies, you will be responsible for developing and launch a self-sustainable vehicle telematics system which meets customer and OEM needs in a user friendly application. As well as leading all OAT remote reflash activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architecture strategy development for system integration working with multiple stake holders.
  • Deliver assigned customer-request field multiplex programming updates to meet internal and external customer expectations.
  • Design, testing and validation for the field technical resolutions.
  • Responsible for developing complex technical specifications at platform, system and sub-system level.
  • Feature Management of Customer/Vehicle Profile management and Authorization enablers by collaborating with Vehicle Engineering.
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations to be utilized for business needs.
  • Report on status of all assigned activities on a weekly basis.
  • Follow MCI design and production process including Change Management Process (CMP) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
  • Support other technical areas as assigned.

Educational / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 3 years working experience in vehicle systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to interact and present to MCI’s Executive and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Able to travel in both the US & Canada.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and activities.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Process Oriented.
  • Using metrics and working knowledge of the business, effectively guide the management team on operational priorities along with improvement priorities.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of vehicle to cloud connectivity or knowledge of Internet of Things is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Telematics, Mobile Network and Wifi Technologies.
    Past experience in truck, bus, or heavy equipment industry is considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of Eight Disciplines of Problem Solving (8D) process is considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle CAN networks, HMI and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) & Quality Function Deployment (QFD) tools are considered as an asset.
